Portishead Badminton Club

Portishead Badminton Club is an inclusive local club that offers competitive and social badminton for players of club standard.

We meet on Monday evenings from 8pm-10pm at Gordano Sports Centre, St Mary’s Rd, Portishead, Bristol BS20 7QR.

We have both “levels and mixed” teams in the North Somerset and Bristol Leagues with home matches typically played on a Friday evening from 7-9pm.

Our badminton club welcomes established players of club level (18years+) to enjoy regular sessions and a warm atmosphere. We usually have places available subject to our membership maximum of 50 players.

We welcome new members of a good standard who may wish to join, please contact us for full details before attending.

Membership fees for 2025/26 are:

Visitor Fee (max 3 sessions)£6.00

All members will be affiliated to Badminton England and Avon Badminton Association.

What, Where & When?


The club meets at Gordano Sports Centre on Monday evenings from 8pm-10pm. The Sports Centre is located at the rear of the school grounds with ample free parking is available. League Information

We field teams in both the Bristol and North Somerset Leagues. Our home matches are typically scheduled for Friday evenings between 7-9pm.

Visiting teams: Please arrive promptly for Friday matches as the sports centre closes promptly at 9pm so we must start close to 7pm to ensure ample match time.

Portishead Town Council Support
